Kansas City starts Thursday with clear skies, calm winds and temperatures in the mid-50s before a sunny afternoon pushes the mercury near 78 degrees. The forecast stays dry, making this one of those unusually easy October days to spend outside without overthinking the plan.
A Warm Stretch Holds Through Sunday
Friday should be another sunny day with a high near 78, followed by a mild night with a low around 58. Saturday will be mostly sunny with another high near 78, while Sunday remains partly sunny and just as warm, according to the National Weather Service.
A south wind of 6 to 8 mph is expected Saturday. The area forecast calls for above-normal temperatures and dry conditions through Sunday, and no watches, warnings or advisories are listed for Missouri or Kansas.
Cooler, Cloudier Weather Arrives Monday
Monday highs will be in the 70s, with a chance of rain Monday night. Increasing clouds are expected Tuesday, which looks cooler and mostly cloudy with a high near 66, followed by a low around 48 Tuesday night, the weather service says in its extended outlook.
Thursday's high should reach the mid- to upper 70s. Winds will be light, with no meaningful rain chance expected from morning through evening.
