Kansas City is starting Tuesday clear and near 55 degrees, but the morning chill will not last long. Sunshine and a south wind will push temperatures to around 83 degrees, setting up another warm October afternoon.
80s Stick Around Through The Weekend
The forecast calls for sunny skies Wednesday with a high near 85, followed by 77 Thursday and 82 Friday. Highs in the 80s are expected through the weekend, with overnight lows ranging from the upper 50s to the mid-60s.
According to the National Weather Service, the Kansas City area should remain mainly dry through the weekend. Rain chances stay near zero most days, with a slight uptick to 11% Monday as the high reaches about 81 degrees.
South Winds Add A Little Warmth
Winds are expected to be southeast early Tuesday before turning south. The pattern will keep afternoons notably warmer than the typical early-October high near 70 degrees.
No Weather Alerts In Effect
No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the forecast area. For now, the main story is a prolonged stretch of sunshine and above-normal warmth before rain chances return early next week.
