Knoxville is getting a mostly sunny Monday with a high near 80 degrees, setting up a warm and dry stretch across the city. The forecast stays quiet through most of the workweek before rain chances return by the weekend.
Sunny Monday Leads Into Warm Workweek
Clouds will continue clearing Monday morning, with northeast winds running 5 to 10 mph and no rain expected. The National Weather Service expects mostly sunny skies by the afternoon.
Monday night should be mostly clear, with temperatures falling to around 53 degrees. Tuesday will be sunny and near 80, followed by highs around 82 Wednesday and 84 Thursday and Friday.
Weekend Brings First Rain Chances
Saturday will remain warm, with a high near 82 under partly sunny skies, but a slight chance of rain showers arrives after 2 p.m. Rain chances increase to 30% Saturday night and 40% Sunday, when the high is expected to reach about 79 degrees.
No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect for the Knoxville area. For outdoor plans, the workweek looks like the easy bet, while weekend events may need a backup plan for passing showers.
