A 36-year-old man died in a Nov. 7, 2018, car crash near Interstate 15 and Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, with the Clark County coroner's office identifying him as Raymond Camillo Jaramillo. Three other people involved in the crash suffered injuries described as survivable.
According to a report from KTNV, one person died following an overnight rollover crash along I-15 at Flamingo. Separately, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that Jaramillo was driving a Chrysler 200 sedan at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, when the car crossed the center median on westbound Flamingo Road near the interstate and was struck by an eastbound minivan. It is not clear whether these two reports describe the same incident.
Driver Died of Blunt-Force Injuries
Jaramillo later died at the hospital from blunt force injuries, per the coroner's office cited by the Review-Journal. Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Jason Buratczuk said Jaramillo was not wearing a seat belt during the crash. The three other people involved in the crash had survivable injuries, the outlet's report states.
No official crash report or additional details on road closures, impairment, or traffic conditions tied to the incident have been made public.
A Stretch of Freeway With a History
The area around I-15 and Flamingo Road has seen other fatal wrecks in recent months. On Aug. 16, a fatal crash closed northbound I-15 just south of Flamingo Road at around 1:27 a.m., according to FOX5 Las Vegas. In that incident, a gray 2009 Dodge Ram struck pedestrian Anthony Jeger, 34, after he entered the northbound travel lanes from the right shoulder; Jeger was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died there.
Other rollover crashes have proven fatal elsewhere along the same corridor. A child was killed and two other people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on northbound I-15 near Jean, per a separate report from KTNV. And in 2022, a driver died when a red Toyota Corolla struck a wall while exiting the freeway using the Flamingo off-ramp, FOX5 Las Vegas reported at the time. A rollover crash on nearby Paradise Road also proved fatal after a vehicle lost control, rolled, and struck several other vehicles, according to KTNV.
Traffic Deaths Trending Down Statewide
The crash comes even as traffic fatalities have fallen across Nevada this year. The state recorded 230 traffic fatalities from Jan. 1 through Aug. 31, down from 261 during the same period in 2025, an 11.88% decrease, according to the Las Vegas Sun. Clark County, the state's most populous county, accounted for the bulk of those deaths with 127, a 24.85% drop from 169 during the same period last year.
The number of fatal crashes statewide also dropped, falling to 218 from 245 over the same stretch, the Sun's report notes. For all of 2025, Nevada recorded 380 traffic fatalities, down from 420 in 2024.
