Boston is getting one more easygoing warm day before autumn reasserts itself. Thursday starts in the upper 40s with high humidity, then turns sunny and mild, with temperatures climbing to the low to mid 60s by afternoon.
Warm Thursday And Friday Bring Breezes
The National Weather Service expects dry weather Thursday, with light southwest winds and possible gusts up to 20 knots. Many locations in the southern and eastern coastal plains will be near or above 70 degrees Friday, though west winds will make it feel breezier, especially near exposed streets and waterfront areas.
Weekend Temperatures Take A Dip
Clear skies arrive Friday night, with lows in the low to mid 30s for most locations. Saturday will be breezy, with a high in the mid-60s and a low near 48 before Sunday rebounds to about 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Dry Stretch Holds Through Monday
Monday remains mostly sunny with a high near 65, continuing the region’s run of largely dry weather. A slight chance of rain showers could arrive late Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday, when the high is forecast near 54 degrees.
No watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed for the Boston area. For now, the forecast favors sunglasses Thursday and Friday, a warmer jacket by Saturday, and maybe an umbrella somewhere in the middle of next week.
