Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance East Tennessee marked the expansion of its Lenoir City clinic with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 1, bringing together team members, community partners and friends to celebrate the bigger footprint for orthopedic care in Loudon County.
The celebration was held in partnership with the Loudon County Chamber of Commerce, according to Knox TN Today. Classy Caterer Knoxville and Grain Bin Commodities helped make the evening special, the outlet reported, rounding out an event meant to spotlight TOA's investment in local healthcare access rather than just cut a ribbon for show.
TOA said the expansion reflects its commitment to providing quality orthopedic care close to home for patients in Lenoir City and surrounding communities, and the celebration highlighted the organization's continued investment in meeting the area's growing healthcare needs, per the same report. The expanded location, the outlet noted, reinforces TOA's broader goal of helping patients return to the activities they enjoy.
What the Lenoir City Clinic Offers
The clinic sits adjacent to Fort Loudoun Medical Center at 576 Fort Loudoun Medical Center Drive, Suite 100, according to TOA's own location page. It provides orthopedic care to patients in Lenoir City and Loudon County, with the stated goal of letting residents get treated locally without having to travel all the way into Knoxville.
Services at the location span arthroscopic surgery, hand and elbow surgery, shoulder surgery, knee treatment, hip procedures, joint replacement, foot and ankle care, sports injury treatment and physical therapy, per TOA's site. The clinic keeps standard business hours, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A Second New Facility in Loudon County
The Lenoir City ribbon-cutting follows another TOA expansion nearby. In August, the organization opened a new physical therapy location in Loudon, expanding access to specialized orthopedic rehabilitation for patients in Loudon County and surrounding counties, according to WVLT News.
That Loudon facility, located at 1787 Highway 72 N. and open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., provides individualized rehabilitation for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports injuries and surgery, WVLT reported. Services there include post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, strength and mobility training, balance and gait training, and injury prevention work.
Part of a Larger Statewide Network
The Lenoir City and Loudon locations are part of a much larger operation. Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinics and Mid-Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic combined under the TOA name starting Jan. 1, 2024, according to a statement from TOA. Today the combined group counts 107 physicians and a staff of more than 1,300, spread across 27 locations in 17 counties, with 11 orthopedic urgent care centers included in that network.
Justin Maguire, who represents Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance East Tennessee, recapped the Lenoir City celebration on LinkedIn, writing that the team marked the occasion “with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting alongside our team, community par[tners].” For patients dealing with joint pain, injuries or other orthopedic conditions in and around Loudon County, the expanded clinic and the new Loudon rehab site together add another layer of care that doesn't require a trip into Knoxville.
