The Placer Justice Foundation is throwing its first-ever Guardians of Hope Gala on Nov. 14, a fundraising dinner in Lincoln meant to honor crime victims and survivors across Placer County. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Event Center at Historic Beermann Plaza, with doors opening at 6 p.m. sharp for dinner, a program, a silent auction and a raffle.
The foundation describes the gala as an evening dedicated to honoring victims and survivors of crime while also recognizing the people who stand beside them, according to placerjusticefoundation.org. The Placer Justice Foundation is organizing the event and says it works with the DA's office and other community partners to deliver resources and support programs for victims. The venue address is listed as 645 5th Street in Lincoln, which app.betterunite.com identifies as the Event Center at Historic Beermann Plaza.
The event's registration page lists individual tickets for $125 and provides sponsorship options.
Where the Money Goes
Funds raised through the gala are intended to help the Placer Justice Foundation continue programs tied to emergency assistance, crime prevention and education, and initiatives aimed at protecting vulnerable residents, per the foundation's event page. Separately, the organization lists emergency services it provides, including diapers, formula and hygiene products, a toy for a child victim, shelter or hotel vouchers, and identification replacement, according to its profile on bigdayofgiving.org.
The foundation also describes a lasting legacy project for victims and survivors throughout Placer County. Among its other efforts is a proposed Victim & Survivor Memorial Park, which the foundation envisions as a permanent place of remembrance, healing, reflection and community connection. Plans for that park, described on the same foundation site, include a memorial wing sculpture, a memorial dedication wall, open lawn space and gathering areas, along with opportunities for community and business partnerships.
A Recurring Tradition for Crime Victims
The gala isn't the foundation's only annual touchpoint with survivors. The Placer Justice Foundation and the DA's office also hold a Victim + Survivor Brunch each year during National Crime Victims' Rights Week, a gathering that drew more than 200 survivors and advocates in 2025, according to KOLO 8 News Now. That turnout gives some sense of the community the foundation is drawing on as it launches this new, higher-profile gala format in Lincoln.
The gala marks a new chapter for an organization that also holds a Victim + Survivor Brunch each year. For a county still processing the needs of its crime victims and survivors, the inaugural Guardians of Hope Gala represents an attempt to scale that mission up, with an evening of dinner, auction bidding and raffle drawings standing in for what organizers hope will become a lasting local institution.
