Margaritaville at Sea has opened a corporate headquarters in downtown Orlando.

A New Headquarters

Margaritaville at Sea debuted in 2022 and now employs more than 4,000 people across a fleet of three ships, per the same report from The Business Journals. The cruise line traces its roots back further than that rebrand, however. It was originally incorporated in 2018 as Classica Cruise Operator Limited Inc., operating as Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, before adopting the Margaritaville at Sea name in May 2022 in a partnership with Margaritaville, according to Wikipedia.

Beachcomber's Planned Launch

The cruise line is preparing to launch its newest and largest ship, Beachcomber, at PortMiami in January 2027 before repositioning the vessel to the Port of Galveston in Texas that October, as Hoodline's earlier coverage of the ship's launch plans reported.

That Beachcomber rollout already carries some celebrity wattage. Musician Zac Brown was named godfather of the ship in September and is co-designing Same Boat, billed as the cruise industry's first artist-designed live music venue, with Brown scheduled to christen the vessel in Miami on January 9, 2027. Margaritaville at Sea is also planning to bring all three of its ships, Beachcomber, Islander, and Paradise, together for the first time off Nassau, Bahamas, in late January 2027, complete with an onboard concert.

A Proposed Upgrade at a Florida Port

The Port of Palm Beach has proposed a $43 million cruise-terminal upgrade and authorized bidding, Hoodline reported in its port infrastructure coverage. Margaritaville at Sea has expanded its Palm Beach operations from 2-night Bahamas runs to longer 3- and 4-night itineraries, Hoodline reported. Margaritaville at Sea's Paradise ship has homeported at Palm Beach since April 2022.

It remains unclear whether Margaritaville at Sea will seek municipal job-creation incentives as it grows its headcount further.
