Mesquite police are seeking help identifying a suspect in an early-morning break-in at Hanby Stadium on August 19. Police say the suspect entered the stadium grounds at approximately 4:25 a.m. and reached the visitor-side concession stand around 4:54 a.m. Cash and snacks were taken from the stand.
In a Mesquite Police Department - Texas post, investigators said the suspect searched drawers, cabinets and refrigerators inside the stand, then appeared to take cash from two registers. Packaged food and snacks were also removed. Police have not provided an estimate of the value of the items taken.
How the Suspect Got Away
Police say the suspect left on foot, climbing the perimeter fence near the pavilion and heading toward Carver Street. The suspect was wearing a head covering, tank top, shorts and slides, according to the department.
Investigators also described tattoos on both arms, including three birds and writing on the right shoulder. Police have released those markings along with the clothing description to help the public identify the suspect.
