A construction flagger on Yatesville Highway got more than she bargained for when a driver pulled up asking about a job opening — because by the time she reached his car, she realized he wasn't wearing a stitch of clothing. Upson County deputies are now searching for the man, who the worker said bore an odd resemblance to Bobby Hill, the cartoon teenager from “King of the Hill.”

Worker Realized He Was Naked Only Up Close

The traffic-control employee initially thought the driver was simply shirtless as he pulled up in a Toyota, according to CBS News. It wasn't until she walked closer to his vehicle that she discovered he had no clothes on at all. The sheriff's office said deputies responded to the public indecency complaint around 3 p.m., though the reported date of the encounter differs between outlets — CBS News places it on Oct. 13, while 11Alive reports it happened Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Despite the circumstances, the man reportedly had career ambitions on his mind. He approached the worker and asked how he could get a job with the construction company, and told her he was “tired of warehouse work,” according to a Facebook post from Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore cited in the station's report. The encounter, while bizarre, appears to have ended without further confrontation before the man drove off.

Suspect Compared to Beloved Cartoon Character

Describing the man to deputies, the worker said he resembled Bobby Hill, the mild-mannered animated teen from “King of the Hill,” the same report notes. Officials said the suspect is a white man with a buzz haircut and thick-lensed glasses, matching the worker's description passed along to investigators.

He is believed to have been driving a dark-gray, two-door Toyota Scion hatchback bearing a Georgia “1776” tag, per the sheriff's office account relayed in the coverage. Investigators have not said whether the vehicle or driver have since been located.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the case as a public indecency complaint, and no arrest has been reported. Anyone with information on the driver's identity or whereabouts is asked to call the Upson County Sheriff's Office at 706-646-7936.
