A new drive-thru Dunkin' opened its doors Wednesday morning at 1331 N. Lee Trevino Drive, marking the fifth Dunkin' location on El Paso's Eastside and the 13th in the city overall. The grand opening kicked off at 9:30 a.m., adding one more stop for coffee and donut fans in the area.

Fifth Eastside Shop Joins Growing Local Footprint

According to the El Paso Times, the Lee Trevino location brings the Eastside's Dunkin' total to five shops, out of 13 citywide. The newest shop adds to Dunkin's Eastside footprint. The newest shop is a drive-thru format, giving commuters another quick option along Lee Trevino Drive.

Dunkin' was founded in 1950 and is described by the paper as the largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States. The chain is part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, the Times reports, and operates in nearly 40 global markets. On the question of total restaurant count, sources diverge: the Times cites more than 14,200 restaurants worldwide, while a separate KFOX14 report on an earlier El Paso opening put the figure at more than 13,200.

Halloween Treats and Rewards Points on the Menu

Timed to the new location's debut, participating Dunkin' shops are rolling out a spooky season menu featuring specialty drinks and treats, including Halloween sprinkle donuts, the El Paso Times reports. Dunkin' Rewards members can also tap into a string of limited-time offers running through the end of October.

Through Oct. 26, Rewards members can earn four times bonus points on all beverages when ordering ahead on Mondays, per the same report. Boosted Status members get their own perk through Oct. 31, earning 100 bonus points when ordering after 1 p.m. And on Oct. 30 and 31, Rewards members can rack up three times points on half-dozen and dozen donuts, as well as 25- or 50-count Munchkins Donut Hole Treats.

How Past El Paso Openings Have Marked the Occasion

When Dunkin' held a grand opening for a “Next Generation” restaurant at 11191 Sean Haggerty Drive, the first 100 guests in line received “Free Coffee for a Year” coupon books, according to KTSM. Each coupon book contained four free medium hot or iced coffee coupons per month for 14 months, redeemable only at that location, the station reported. KTSM also reported that a planned $1,000 check at the Sean Haggerty Drive ceremony was for the Mesquite Hills Knights Cheer team. That Sean Haggerty Drive restaurant was also billed as offering a drive-thru, Wi-Fi, and a modern design.

A similar giveaway played out when Dunkin' opened a location at 12703 Montana Avenue in far east El Paso. That shop, which opened on a Friday, also surprised its first 100 guests in line with free-coffee-for-a-year giveaways, KFOX14 reported. At the Montana Avenue opening, franchisee Dallen Rowe hosted an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. and presented a $1,000 check to the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief.

East El Paso residents have a fresh drive-thru option, a seasonal menu of Halloween treats, and a fresh round of Rewards promotions to chase before Halloween arrives.
