German beer, brats, and a hammerschlagen nail-driving contest are set to take over a food truck patio in Northeast El Paso this weekend, as NorthFest returns to NEEP Collective for its two-day run starting Saturday. The Oktoberfest-style celebration brings back lederhosen, stein hoists and a beer garden to the Dyer Street gathering spot, with a free 5K kicking things off Saturday afternoon.

NorthFest is NEEP Collective's annual Oktoberfest celebration, according to NEEP Collective, which describes the event as a two-day patio takeover built around beer, food, live music, games, vendors and community. As reported by 93.1 KISS FM, this year's festival runs October 3 through October 4 and requires a ticket to attend, marking NEEP Collective's version of Oktoberfest for a third year running.

The festivities begin Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Oktoberfest 5K, a free run that starts and ends at NEEP Collective. Per the station's report, participants aged 21 and over receive a complimentary beer after crossing the finish line, though they'll need to hang onto their runner registration to claim it.

Bavarian Games and German Bites on the Patio

Once the run wraps, the rest of NorthFest's lineup kicks in. Attendees can expect German beers, brats and a dedicated beer garden, alongside a slate of Oktoberfest games and events that include hammerschlagen, beer boots, a stein hoist and Fliegerlied dancing, the same report notes.

A market will also be set up alongside the games, with German Bites providing on-theme food to go with the festival's beer lineup. Organizers are encouraging attendees to wear lederhosen and dirndl for the occasion, leaning into the Bavarian theme that has defined the event in past years.

A Food Truck Park Built for Patio Weather

NEEP Collective itself is the Northeast El Paso food truck collective, built around a patio bar surrounded by El Paso food trucks. The venue describes itself as an outdoor food truck park, patio bar, live music venue and neighborhood gathering place, located at 8144 Dyer St., Suite A, near US-54 and Fort Bliss, according to NEEP Collective's website. Beyond festival weekends, the spot pours draft beer, frozen cocktails, ranch waters, mocktails and other patio drinks made for El Paso weather.

A separate Eventbrite listing for the event has described NorthFest as bringing two days of Bavarian-themed programming to the venue, including beer, brats, food trucks and live music, though that listing's details were not independently confirmed elsewhere. NorthFest has run at NEEP Collective in prior years as well, including a 2025 edition and a 2024 Oktoberfest presented with CraftBox, continuing the venue's tradition of turning its patio into a German beer hall each fall.
