St. Louis is waking up to clear skies and temperatures near 52 degrees Wednesday morning, but the city is headed for a much warmer afternoon. Sunshine will push temperatures to about 89 degrees, with a light west wind and almost no chance of rain.
According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday temperatures are forecast to reach the 80s. Skies should remain clear into Wednesday night, when temperatures fall to around 57 degrees.
A Brief Thursday Cooldown
Thursday will bring a small step down, though it will still be warmer than usual for October, with sunny skies and a high near 84 degrees. Friday is expected to warm back toward 89.
Weekend Warmth, With A Late Shower Question
Saturday looks mostly sunny and warm, with a high near 87 degrees. The forecast turns less certain late Saturday night and Sunday, with the possibility of showers.
Sunday should still reach about 80 degrees with periods of sunshine, while Monday is expected to remain warmer than usual. Forecasters are watching whether moisture from a Gulf tropical system could bring more clouds and rain to the St. Louis region, but the current outlook keeps the weekend largely warm and manageable.
For outdoor plans, Wednesday through Saturday offer the clearest stretch, though anyone heading out Sunday may want a backup plan for a passing shower. No watches, warnings or advisories are in effect for the area.
