Oklahoma City police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a residence burglary near Southwest 44th Street and Villa. Anyone who recognizes the man is urged to come forward.
According to KFOR, police are seeking to identify the man in connection with the residence burglary, and authorities asked the public specifically for help putting a name to his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 or submit a tip online at www.okccrimetips.com.
A Pattern of Burglary Cases Across the Metro
This is far from the only burglary investigation Oklahoma City police have publicized in recent months. In a separate case, authorities said a man was accused of burglarizing two separate vehicles near Southwest 59th Street and Walker, according to KFOR. The dossier evidence does not establish whether that case is connected to the Southwest 44th and Villa investigation or involves the same individual.
Back in July, police said a suspect was wanted in connection with a robbery of a business near Northwest 36th Street and Penn Avenue, an incident that reportedly occurred around 11:30 a.m. on July 23, per a separate KFOR report. That case, too, remains distinct in the available record from the current Southwest 44th and Villa search.
Overnight Break-In Shut Down a Southwest Intersection
Another burglary investigation drew police to an unoccupied house in southwest Oklahoma City after someone broke in overnight, according to KOCO. That search centered on South Council Road between Southwest 119th Street and Southwest 104th Street, and officers shut down the intersection while they worked. Police said they weren't able to find the suspect, and KOCO reported no injuries were documented and no other homes in the area were broken into before the scene was cleared.
License Plate Readers Cracked a Different Case
Not every Oklahoma City burglary investigation has ended without an arrest. Earlier this month, automatic license plate readers helped investigators identify a vehicle and driver connected to two burglaries at a business in the 2200 block of Southwest 21st Street, OKC FOX reported. Detectives ultimately arrested 34-year-old Henry Cooper after locating his truck and trailer along South Rockwell Avenue, and they recovered a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, a go-kart, and a Graco 395 Paint Sprayer rig during the investigation, according to OKC FOX.
No arrest has been reported in the Southwest 44th and Villa case, and it remains unclear whether the man police are seeking has been identified. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
