The Over-the-Rhine building that houses Mikey's Late Night Slice and its adjoining Oddfellows Liquor Bar is headed to the auction block next month, and whoever wins it gets a lot more than a pizza counter. The 5,280-square-foot property at 2014 Elm St. comes with a finished, roughly 3,000-square-foot basement speakeasy, a full set of restaurant equipment, and an active liquor license, according to auction documents.
Colliers will auction the property on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 11 a.m. on-site, with bidding open both in person and online, as reported by WKRC. Bidder registration begins at 10 a.m., and prospective buyers can walk the fully equipped space during open-house inspection windows on October 20, October 27, and November 3, according to the Colliers listing. The published reserve price sits at $750,000, and a 10% buyer's premium will be tacked onto the winning bid.
What's Actually Included in the Sale
The listing isn't just bare walls. It covers the restaurant and bar space, multiple dining areas, and outdoor patio seating, per the station's report, plus all furniture, fixtures, and kitchen equipment and the property's active D-5/D-6 liquor license. The lower level houses a hidden subterranean cocktail lounge tucked beneath the pizza shop that adds significant usable entertainment space to the footprint.
That liquor license carries real weight beyond the pizza and cocktails already being poured there. Ohio D-5 licenses allow on-premises sales of spirits, wine, and beer until 2:30 a.m., according to the Ohio Department of Commerce. That scarcity makes a transferred, already-active permit a high-value asset for any operator hoping to run a late-night bar in Cincinnati without waiting on a new one.
A Sale-Leaseback Attempt That Didn't Pan Out
This auction wasn't the first move. Founder Mike Sorboro bought the Elm Street building in 2018 under LNS Ventures LLC for $635,000, according to Hamilton County Auditor records cited by Columbus Business First. In August 2025, he listed it for $2.5 million through OnSite Retail Group, hoping to pull off a sale-leaseback that would fund further restaurant expansion before Colliers ultimately scheduled the November auction with its much lower $750,000 reserve.
Mikey's Late Night Slice and Oddfellows opened together at 2014 Elm Street in March 2019, marking the Columbus-born chain's first joint storefront outside Central Ohio, as Cincinnati CityBeat reported at the time. Sorboro launched the late-night slice concept in Columbus back in 2009 after running a pedicab service, eventually growing it into a 12-location Ohio footprint that also includes food trucks and concert venue partnerships, per The Lantern.
Neighborhood Nightlife in Flux
The sale lands amid some churn in Over-the-Rhine's late-night dining scene. Nearby Main Street recently lost Lucky Dog, a 3 a.m. food spot that closed abruptly, according to Cincinnati CityBeat — one sign that several late-night concepts in the neighborhood have shifted or shut down recently. Still, the Elm Street building sits close to Findlay Market, Rhinegeist Brewery, and TQL Stadium, and near the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar line.
Colliers has said the site could appeal to an owner-operator, a hospitality business, a redevelopment project, or a long-term investor, per the station's report. That flexibility lines up with where Sorboro's attention has turned: Hoodline reported in September that Mikey's is planting a flag in Cleveland after opening in Polaris the month before, continuing a statewide growth push even as the brand sheds real estate in the city where it first broke out of Central Ohio.
