The JOCO Home + Remodeling Show returns to the Overland Park Convention Center this weekend, marking a full decade in business with more than 200 booths, home professionals from around the region, and a live appearance from HGTV personalities Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt. The show runs October 23 through 25, and organizers are treating the milestone as a chance to show off just how much home design has shifted since the event launched.
According to the official JOCO Home + Remodeling Show website, the event is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and typically draws around 10,000 attendees and more than 200 exhibitors who do business together over the three-day run. The Kleinschmidts, described on the site as custom home designers and HGTV stars, are set to appear live on stage Friday and Saturday. As reported by KSHB 41 Kansas City, the show bills itself as three days of home inspiration, expert advice, and access to local professionals.
What Visitors Can Expect Inside The Convention Center
The show is pitched as a marketplace where homeowners can shop for products and services, check out displays, and sit in on presentations from local and international home professionals, per the Overland Park Convention Center's event listing. With more than 200 booths to explore, the center's page notes there will also be several unique feature displays scattered throughout the weekend. Per KSHB's reporting, attendees can expect to connect with local professionals on topics ranging from kitchen and bathroom renovations to outdoor living spaces and new home construction.
Also per the outlet's reporting, the show will feature a Decade of Design display comparing rooms inspired by 2016 against those styled for 2026, intended to highlight how colors, materials, accents and décor have shifted over the past ten years. KSHB also reports the Harrington Family Farm will build a fall-inspired entrance for the anniversary event, and that a Visit, Stamp & Win promotion will give attendees a chance to win prizes as they move through the floor.
Admission Costs
The convention center's event page states that online advance adult admission for the JOCO Home + Remodeling Show was offered at a discounted $8 rate through Thursday, October 22, with the price rising to $10 online and at the box office once the show opens. The attendee information page for the separate Johnson County Home + Garden Show, scheduled for January 22–24, 2027, lists a $14 single-day adult ticket price at the door for anyone 13 and older.
Several groups can skip the ticket line entirely. Children 12 and under get in free, as do active military members, veterans, firefighters, medical professionals, police officers and other first responders with valid identification, who receive free admission for the entire weekend. Seniors 65 and older qualify for the same weekend-long free admission with ID. KSHB's reporting adds that teachers receive free admission specifically on Sunday, October 25, and that a promo code offers free admission for one day only. The attendee page for the separate Johnson County Home + Garden Show lists an educator free-admission date of Sunday, January 24, 2027.
Parking And Getting There
Parking shouldn't be a headache for anyone headed to the convention center this weekend. The attendee information page says parking is free, with more than 1,000 spaces available around the complex, including 244 spaces under a covered garage.
For a show built around shopping local, the organizers lean into that pitch directly, describing the event as a place to shop trusted local businesses, compare options, and save, according to the official show website. With 200-plus exhibitors expected and a decade of design trends on display side by side, this weekend's event gives Johnson County homeowners a dense, single-stop look at renovation ideas before winter sets in.
