
A woman near the Sykes/Lady Golf Course in Overland Park was shoved to the ground Wednesday morning by a man who grabbed her cellphone and took off running, according to police. The attack happened around 6:30 a.m. near West 124th Street and Quivira Road, and while the woman was shaken, she was not physically injured.
Police described the incident as a strong-arm robbery, according to KCTV. Officers said the suspect is an older Black man with gray hair who was wearing a yellow shirt at the time of the attack, and that he fled north from the scene toward a nearby trail after knocking the woman down and grabbing her phone.

Police responded near West 124th Street and Quivira at 6:30 a.m. and were hunting for the suspect.
