Palms Place is about to host its first-ever ticketed show, and it's bringing in a 27-year Las Vegas institution to do it. The long-running dinner mystery Marriage Can Be Murder revives on Oct. 29 inside the Cabrisse Showroom on the resort's sixth floor, starring married performers Eric Post and Jayne Post, who have led the show for decades.
A New Home After a Quiet Exit
The move comes a little over three months after Marriage Can Be Murder abruptly ended its run at the Rio, closing on July 12 with no advance public notice, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The show had only landed at the Rio in August 2025, part of a long string of Las Vegas venues the production has called home since it first opened at the Showboat, later the Castaways, in 1999. Over the years it has also played the Cracked Egg, the 4 Queens, the D Las Vegas (formerly Fitzgerald's) and the Orleans, per the same report.
Palms Place's first ticketed show will run nightly except Wednesdays and Sundays. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the bar available, seatings begin at 6:15 p.m., and the mystery kicks off at 7 p.m., the station's report notes. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific time Friday through AXS, according to the article.
Comic Cops, a Hidden Cast and Dinner With the Mystery
In the show, Eric and Jayne Post play comic cop partners trying to crack a whodunit while cast members are randomly and anonymously seeded throughout the audience, the Review-Journal reports. The show's official website, marriagecanbemurder.com, describes the dinner as a four-course meal.
Jayne Post messaged Palms assistant general manager Laura De La Cruz on Facebook after the Rio closure, per the Review-Journal's account.
Another Show Moves On
Bentham has since restarted Tony N' Tina's Wedding, which the outlet's earlier coverage said is set to open Aug. 13 at The Venue at the Rio after most recently running at Buca di Beppo at then-Bally's from 2016 to 2018.
Marriage Can Be Murder debuted in Las Vegas in 1999.
