Part Of A Troubling Pattern In Brooklyn
The Dean Street case lands within the 77th Precinct, which the NYPD says serves the northern portion of Crown Heights and part of Prospect Heights. It is not the precinct's first brush with this kind of complaint — in April 2025, the Brooklyn Eagle reported that officers from the 77th Precinct arrested a suspect on five counts of forcible touching following a monthlong string of alleged groping attacks in nearby Brooklyn neighborhoods, as Hoodline noted in its piece on the Crown Heights groping suspect sought months after a Nostrand Avenue attack.
Comparable alerts have surfaced elsewhere in the city this year. A separate incident involved a 22-year-old at Main Street.
How To Submit A Tip
Anyone with information about the Dean Street incident is urged to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips or by calling the tip line. All information can be submitted anonymously.
