Phoenix Police are asking the public for information about missing juvenile Damien Bradley. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the department at 602-262-6151, according to Phoenix Police.
A missing-person notice is not automatically an AMBER Alert
A routine missing-juvenile appeal does not, by itself, establish that a child was abducted or that an emergency alert is warranted. Arizona Department of Public Safety guidance says all five AMBER Alert criteria must be met, including that a child under 18 was abducted and faces a credible threat of imminent danger, serious bodily injury or death. The statewide criteria do not establish the circumstances of Bradley’s case.
Different data sets describe different populations
Arizona’s available figures offer a limited view of missing and runaway status among children in state care, not a count of all missing-child reports in Arizona. The Arizona Auditor General reported that month-end counts among children in Department of Child Safety care ranged from 126 to 163 on runaway status and from 29 to 38 listed as missing between April 2022 and March 2023.
National figures measure other things. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says it assisted with 32,167 missing-child cases in 2025 and that 90% of those children were recovered. Separately, the FBI reported 29,533 active National Crime Information Center missing-person records for people under 21 as of Dec. 31, 2025. The NCMEC figure counts cases it assisted with over a year; the FBI figure is a year-end database snapshot. Neither says what happened in Bradley’s case.
