Phoenix Police are asking the public for help locating a missing juvenile.
According to Phoenix Police
, anyone who has seen the individual or can provide information should call the department.
How to Report Information
Police are asking anyone with information to call the department. The notice says, “Anyone who has seen this individual or has information, please contact police,” at 602-262-6151.
Phoenix Police said social media comments and direct messages are not a valid way to report information, asking instead that anyone with leads call the number directly.
Public Guidance
Phoenix Police's broader guidance on missing and unidentified persons, published on the city's website, notes that running away is not a crime and that a juvenile entered into the national NCIC database as a runaway is logged so an officer encountering the child elsewhere can verify their identity and arrange for a parent to take custody, according to Phoenix.gov.
The department is asking the public to call in directly. Anyone who has seen the individual or has relevant information is urged to reach Phoenix Police at the number listed above rather than commenting or messaging on social media.
