Phoenix Police are asking anyone with information about a missing juvenile to call 602-262-6151. The department shared the request in a social media post.
The department says comments and direct messages on social media are not a valid way to submit information about this case. Anyone with a tip should call the listed number.
State reporting requirements
Arizona Senate Bill 1416, effective September 12, requires law enforcement agencies to provide missing-child information to appropriate news media and publish it on official social media platforms within 24 hours of receiving a report. The law text says public notices must include a physical description, last known location, clothing description, available photographs and an agency phone number.
The statute also requires agencies to submit identifying information to state and national crime databases within two hours after receiving the report and necessary, available information. It generally bars public notices from describing a child as a runaway unless the agency determines that doing so is necessary to protect the child’s safety or further an active investigation.
National missing-person records
According to FBI statistics, the National Crime Information Center had 88,093 active missing-person records nationwide as of December 31, 2025, including 21,487 for juveniles under age 18. Those figures are a national year-end snapshot, not an Arizona or Phoenix count, and do not state how many juvenile records were entered from Arizona during the year.
