Pittsburgh is waking up to clear skies and temperatures around 50 degrees Saturday morning, with sunshine pushing the high close to 69 by afternoon. Northeast winds of 5 to 8 mph will add a crisp edge, but rain is not part of Saturday's plan.
Sunny Saturday Gives Way To Cloudier Sunday
The National Weather Service expects a mostly sunny Saturday followed by a partly cloudy night and a low near 56. Sunday will be warmer, reaching about 72 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with only a small chance of light showers, mainly south and east of Pittsburgh, according to the National Weather Service.
That marks a cleaner weekend finish than Friday's wetter setup. Hoodline's earlier forecast tracked the rain, while the updated outlook now favors dry weather for Saturday and much of the week ahead.
Cooler Nights Arrive Next Week
After Sunday, high pressure should keep the region mostly dry, with sunny skies and a high near 66 on Monday. Overnight temperatures will dip to the low 40s Monday night and Tuesday night, while Tuesday stays sunny with a high around 64.
Frost is possible Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, especially northeast of Pittsburgh. The rest of the extended forecast rebounds slightly, with highs near 70 Wednesday, 72 Thursday and 71 Friday.
No Advisories For Pittsburgh
No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the Pittsburgh area. Saturday looks well suited for outdoor plans, though early risers may want a jacket before the afternoon sun takes over.
