Portland is waking up to mostly clear skies and a chilly low-40s start Sunday, but the day will turn into a pleasant fall one. Temperatures should climb to about 66 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with only a light north breeze.
Sunny Sunday Gives Way To Cloudy Monday
The dry weather continues Sunday night, though clouds will build after sunset and temperatures will settle near 47 degrees. Monday looks mostly cloudy with a high around 63, while winds remain light and rain stays out of the immediate Portland forecast, according to the National Weather Service Portland.
A Frost Advisory remains in effect through 9 a.m. Sunday for several nearby valleys, including parts of the Upper Hood River Valley, Coast Range valleys and southwest Washington lowlands. Central Portland is not included, but the broader region is starting the day with the kind of crisp air that makes a jacket feel less optional.
Warm Midweek Before Rain Chances Return
Portland gets a brief warmup Tuesday and Wednesday, with mostly sunny to sunny skies and highs near 70 and 71 degrees. Overnight lows will dip into the low 40s, with colder readings possible in outlying valleys.
The forecast turns cooler and somewhat wetter late in the week. There is a chance of light rain Thursday evening, a slight chance Friday, and another chance Saturday, while daytime highs ease back to around 61 to 64 degrees.
