Ramsey-based Decusoft has a new partner in the pay-software world. The enterprise compensation planning company announced a strategic partnership with Payfederate on Tuesday, aiming to give HR and compensation leaders a more connected way to set pay and then actually carry it out.

The partnership was announced Tuesday in a release distributed through GlobeNewswire, and ROI-NJ also reported the deal. The announcement describes Payfederate as an AI-powered market-pricing and job-architecture platform and Decusoft as a compensation-planning provider. It does not specify how the products will be connected or identify customers for the combined offering.

New Jersey's Pay-Posting Rules

For covered employers hiring in Bergen County and elsewhere in New Jersey, the state's pay-transparency law took effect June 1, 2025. Job postings for new positions or transfer opportunities must include the wage or salary, or its range, a general description of benefits and other compensation programs, according to the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Two Halves of the Pay Puzzle

The way the companies frame it, Payfederate helps organizations understand how to position pay and structure roles, while Decusoft's Compose handles the planning, allocation and approval of compensation awards. Payfederate's platform supports AI-assisted job matching, compensation survey management and the development of consistent job families, levels and career frameworks, the release says.

Payfederate's website provides additional product information. The partnership announcement, however, does not specify which Payfederate features are included in the arrangement.

What Compose Brings to the Table

Decusoft describes Compose on its product page as a configurable, no-code platform for compensation management. The partnership announcement says Compose can be used to administer salary, bonus, equity and incentive programs. Decusoft also advertises reporting and analytics for people, compensation and equity data.

Decusoft maintains a separate Compose AI page, but the partnership announcement does not explain whether or how AI features will be part of the joint offering.

What the Executives Said

Hank Boggio, Decusoft's chief commercial officer, said in the announcement, “Our partnership with Payfederate gives organizations access to complementary capabilities.” The release describes the arrangement as bringing compensation planning together with market-pricing and job-architecture tools.

Michael Dressler, Payfederate's director of business development, said the partnership is intended to help clients apply market insights and job frameworks in compensation programs.

Financial terms, an implementation timeline and any named customers for the combined offering were not part of the announcement. The companies' product claims also come from their own materials, not independent testing.
