Sacramento Kings fans settling into their seats at Golden 1 Center this season have a new drink option on hand: a custom espresso martini poured from a branded Aspen Vodka bar cart. The cocktail is the centerpiece of a multi-year partnership the Kings entered earlier in 2026 with the Colorado-based spirits maker, which now carries the title of official spirit of both the team and the arena.
The deal makes Aspen Vodka the Kings' official spirits partner, according to the Sacramento Bee. The newspaper reports that fans can order the house espresso martini from a custom-branded bar cart, with the recipe built from 2 ounces of Aspen Vodka, 1 ounce of freshly brewed espresso, a half ounce of coffee liqueur and a quarter ounce of simple syrup.
The Bee's recipe calls for shaking the ingredients with ice until well-chilled, straining into a chilled martini glass, and finishing with an optional garnish of coffee beans or a dusting of cinnamon. The report comes from Sean Timberlake, the paper's food and dining reporter, who has written professionally about food for more than 20 years.
A Shared Sustainability Pitch
Part of the pairing's appeal, per the same Bee report, is that Aspen Vodka and Golden 1 Center share a commitment to environmental stewardship, with both the vodka's production facility and the arena holding LEED Platinum certification and touting high energy efficiency. Aspen Vodka itself describes its Colorado distillery as one of the world's leading carbon-negative production sites, built around sustainable innovation, according to theaspenvodka.com.
The brand's own site goes further, noting that its distillery holds the first-ever LEEDv4 BD+C Platinum certification awarded to a distillery facility in North America. The company says it relies on clean energy sources along with non-GMO, pesticide-free ingredients to cut its environmental footprint, and that it is crafted with water from the Roaring Fork River and a proprietary Colorado Red Winter Wheat.
Separate reporting from Forbes adds detail to that sustainability story, noting that offsite renewable solar power and battery storage supply 105% of the distillery's necessary electricity, and that more than half of its eight-acre campus is set aside for regenerative agriculture. A separate account from PR Newswire states that all of the distillery's process wastewater is treated before being returned to the Roaring Fork River.
Where to Find the Bottle, and What It Costs
Beyond Golden 1 Center, Aspen Vodka is also available online through the brand's website and for purchase at local Total Wine & More stores, the Bee reports. Pricing for the bottle varies across sources: the Bee's reporting lists it at $21.99, while PR Newswire has cited a suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750-milliliter bottle and Forbes has described it as retailing for around $30. Totalwine.com lists the spirit at 40% alcohol by volume, produced in Aspen, Colorado.
Part of a Broader Trend in Arena Sponsorships
The Kings-Aspen Vodka tie-up lands amid a wider wave of spirits brands chasing NBA arena real estate. Heaven Hill Brands has announced multi-year sponsorships pairing Lunazul Tequila with the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs, each featuring in-arena signage and branded activations. Crypto.com Arena has likewise touted new partners and elevated food and beverage offerings heading into the 2026-27 season, according to Business Wire.
For now, Kings fans looking to toast a win, or drown a loss, have a dedicated option waiting at the bar cart at Golden 1 Center this season.
