San Jose is waking to clear skies and temperatures in the mid-50s Thursday morning, with warm weather expected through Saturday. The forecast then flips Sunday, when the high is expected to fall to about 80.
The week-ahead outlook brings cooler temperatures Sunday and increasing rain chances Tuesday through late week.
Sunny Thursday Leads Into The Warmest Day
Thursday will stay sunny and dry, with light west winds and an afternoon high near 86. Friday and Saturday are expected to be clear, with warm weather continuing across the Bay Area.
The National Weather Service says very dry conditions and breezier winds will raise fire-weather concerns in higher elevations around the Bay Area through Friday. A Fire Weather Watch is posted for the North Bay Interior Mountains, while other elevated areas face near-critical conditions; San Jose itself is not under that specific watch.
Cooler Air Arrives Sunday
A sunnier but cooler Sunday is expected, with a high around 80. The cooldown continues Monday, when San Jose is forecast to reach about 70 under mostly sunny skies.
Rain chances increase Tuesday and continue through late week, with showers possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
For outdoor plans, the best bet for warm, dry weather is Thursday through Saturday, with the hottest stretch arriving Friday afternoon. Drink water during peak heat, be especially careful with outdoor flames in dry areas, and keep a light jacket handy once the cooler pattern settles in next week.
