Three of American tennis's biggest names are headed back to Frisco. Organizers have announced that Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe will return to the 2027 Nexo Dallas Open, an ATP 500 event set for February 6 through 14 at Ford Center at The Star, and single-session tickets are already on sale.
The field announcement, reported by CBS News, confirms that organizers have locked in a trio of top-ranked Americans for the tournament's 2027 edition, with additional players still to be announced. Shelton enters as the defending champion and is currently ranked No. 4 on the ATP rankings, while Fritz sits at No. 13 and Tiafoe at No. 9 in the world, according to the same report.
Shelton's title defense carries extra weight given how he won it. He beat Fritz 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in a tense three-set final, saving all three championship points along the way, according to ATP Tour. That win, in a matchup between the tournament's top two seeds, gave Shelton his second career ATP 500 trophy.
A Rematch Years in the Making
Fritz, for his part, has plenty of motivation heading into Frisco. Despite the heartbreaking finish in Dallas, he had reached his 20th tour-level final, the ATP Tour report notes. Shelton also had a big year beyond Dallas, finishing second at the 2026 US Open.
Shelton said he was excited to return, see fans and compete at the Nexo Dallas Open, per the CBS News report. Tiafoe, meanwhile, will be making his fifth appearance at the tournament, continuing a streak as one of the event's most familiar faces.
Tickets, Packages and How to Get In
Single-session tickets are on sale now through the tournament's website, according to dallasopen.com. The official Nexo Dallas Open site notes the tournament runs two sessions each day, one in the afternoon and one at night, giving fans multiple windows to catch the action across the nine-day run.
Group buyers can save, too. The event's ticket page lists a 25% group discount for purchases of 10 or more tickets, and ADA tickets for every session can be purchased by calling the box office at 469.694.5600, per the same source. Weeklong and weekend ticket packages are also being promoted.
Theme Nights and Social Buzz
The official Nexo Dallas Open site promotes a weekend plan for the quarterfinals through finals.
Organizers are also promoting theme nights and special events throughout the 2027 tournament, though specifics on those offerings have not yet been detailed. It's worth noting that player fields can shift before a tournament begins; the event's own ticket page acknowledges that announced players may withdraw due to injury, illness or other reasons.
CBS Texas is listed as an official partner of the 2027 Nexo Dallas Open, underscoring the event's growing local profile as it heads into another edition in Frisco. For now, fans have a marquee trio to look forward to, and a defending champion with a dramatic title defense already behind him.
