A person was shot on St. Pierre Boulevard in East Memphis late Wednesday night, and Memphis Police say the extent of that person's injuries is still not known. Officers were called to the scene around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, and as of Thursday morning, investigators had not said whether anyone was in custody.

According to Action News 5, the Memphis Police Department confirmed it is investigating the shooting, which injured one person on the East Memphis street. The outlet reported that neither the victim's condition nor any suspect information had been released at the time of its report.

A Street With a History of Police Calls

Wednesday's shooting is not the first violent incident to draw police to St. Pierre Boulevard. Back in September 2023, Memphis Police investigated a fatal shooting in the 4100 block of the same street, in the Grahamwood neighborhood. Officers responded at 2:25 a.m. and found a male victim seriously injured; he was taken to Regional One Health, where he later died, according to Local Memphis.

In June 2026, officers arrested a 20-year-old suspect in an apartment parking lot on the same boulevard in connection with an attempted statutory rape investigation.

A Previous East Memphis Shooting

Wednesday's shooting follows a February shooting near Park Avenue. A man was killed near Park Avenue while police searched for six suspects who fled in a white SUV.
