Sierra Donor Services has officially begun construction on its new headquarters at 4124 E Commerce Way in North Natomas, a $2.3 million renovation project that will relocate the organ and tissue donation nonprofit from West Sacramento. Completion is expected in 2027.
The relocation plan was reported in February, when bizjournals.com detailed plans for Sierra Donor Services to relocate its headquarters from West Sacramento to North Natomas with a $2.3 million remodel. That plan has now moved from paperwork to groundbreaking, according to The Business Journals, which reported Thursday that construction is underway at the Commerce Way site.
The property sits at 4124 E Commerce Way, Sacramento, CA 95834, per a listing on loopnet.com.
Who Sierra Donor Services Serves
Sierra Donor Services describes itself as a federally qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, according to its own about page. The organization says it serves nearly three million people across Northern California and Northern Nevada, acting as the link connecting organ and tissue donations to the patients who need them.
That regional reach underscores why the headquarters move matters beyond Sacramento's city limits. A nonprofit coordinating donations across a footprint spanning two states depends on dependable infrastructure, and the new North Natomas building is intended to serve as that operational base once finished.
