Solidcore is headed to Queen Creek for the first time, with plans to open a studio inside The Switchyard, the sprawling mixed-use development taking shape at the northeast corner of Ellsworth Loop Road and Ocotillo Road. The boutique fitness brand, known for its Pilates-inspired reformer workouts, has not announced an opening date for the location.

According to WhatNow, Solidcore appears on the tenant roster for The Switchyard published on the development's own website. The Switchyard spans roughly 10 acres in Queen Creek, and its website describes a project that brings together luxury multifamily housing, dining and retail space. Announced tenants at the development include Postino, Snooze and Shake Shack.

A $120 Million Bet on Downtown Queen Creek

The Switchyard carries a $120 million price tag and is designed as a mixed-use hub combining restaurant, retail and office space with multifamily housing, according to Creation Equity. The project is planned to open in phases, with the first phase expected to be completed in mid-2026, the same source notes. Creation Equity describes the project as a 215-residence luxury apartment community.

Solidcore currently operates three studios in Arizona, none of them in the East Valley. Its directory lists a Phoenix studio at the Biltmore and two Scottsdale locations, at McCormick Ranch and Scottsdale Quarter, per solidcore.co. The planned Switchyard studio would mark the company's first foothold in Queen Creek.

A Second East Valley Studio in the Works

Queen Creek is not the only East Valley community getting a Solidcore studio soon. The company has also announced plans for a 2,483-square-foot studio at Heritage Park in downtown Gilbert, the same WhatNow report notes, bringing its total East Valley expansion to two studios. Heritage Park expects its first storefronts to open in the second quarter of 2027, but no opening date has been set for the Gilbert Solidcore location either.

Solidcore's workouts center on a Pilates-inspired reformer. With studios now planned in both Queen Creek and Gilbert, the company appears to be betting on continued demand for boutique fitness options as those communities grow.

Queen Creek's Rapid Growth Fuels New Development

The arrival of a national fitness brand like Solidcore fits a broader pattern in Queen Creek, where the population has more than doubled over the past decade to roughly 84,000 residents, according to ABC15. The town is seeing the highest year-over-year percentage growth in Arizona, per new U.S. Census Bureau data cited by the station. That growth has helped spur private development downtown, with the Town of Queen Creek noting that infrastructure investment has several new local venues underway in the downtown core.

No construction timeline, square footage or lease details have been released for the Queen Creek Solidcore studio itself. For now, the project remains one piece of a much larger development taking shape along Ellsworth Loop Road, one that local officials and developers alike are counting on to reshape downtown Queen Creek in the years ahead.
