Oklahoma City woke up clear and cool Saturday, but the afternoon will feel more like late summer than late October. Saturday’s high will climb to about 79 under partly sunny skies, with no rain expected. The warm stretch is sticking around, although the forecast finally starts sprinkling in shower chances next week.
Warm Weekend Weather Holds
South winds around 9 mph will accompany Saturday’s mild afternoon, while temperatures fall only to about 59 Saturday night. Sunday should reach another 78 degrees beneath mostly cloudy skies, keeping outdoor plans comfortable even if the sunshine is less generous. The National Weather Service has no active watches, warnings or advisories posted for the Oklahoma City area.
Small Shower Chance Arrives Tuesday
Monday remains partly sunny with a high near 75, but Tuesday brings a 20% chance of rain showers between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday’s high should reach about 72 degrees, so this looks more like a brief interruption than a full washout. Most of the metro’s rain chances remain limited through the middle of the week.
Late-Week Rain Chances Increase
Wednesday should reach near 77, followed by a mostly sunny Thursday near 77. Rain chances rise again Friday, when mostly sunny skies are expected and the high is forecast near 80. For now, the bigger takeaway is a run of above-normal temperatures before a wetter pattern begins to edge in.
