Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to move northward across Oklahoma City through the morning, with clouds holding temperatures to about 71 degrees.
Rain Arrives Before Lunch
The wettest stretch is expected from the morning into midday, when rain chances sit near 80%. The rain should become more intermittent during the afternoon, but a shower may still pop up into the evening; total rainfall of roughly a quarter to a half-inch is possible. Morning commuters and anyone with outdoor plans should prepare for wet roads and changing conditions.
The National Weather Service Norman says limited instability should keep thunderstorm chances relatively low, though a few storms are possible, especially this morning. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for Oklahoma City in the current forecast.
Halloween Looks Damp But Not A Total Washout
Saturday brings another chance of showers and a high near 69, with rain odds around 40%. Showers are more likely to be an on-and-off nuisance than an all-day deluge, but costumes, candy routes and outdoor plans could run into wet sidewalks and cloudy skies.
That is a sharper, wetter update than Hoodline's earlier Halloween outlook, which had expected a warmer, less unsettled setup; the previous forecast is summarized here. Saturday night carries a 10% chance of precipitation, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 58.
Warm Sunday, Stormier Monday
Sunday offers a brief break, with mostly cloudy skies, a high near 75 and only a small daytime rain chance. Light south to southeast winds are expected over the weekend.
The next bigger turn arrives Monday, when showers and thunderstorms are expected with a high near 78. Stronger storms and heavier rain may become possible Monday into Monday night, making another forecast check worthwhile before travel or outdoor plans.
Cooler Weather Follows
Tuesday brings a slight chance of showers and cooler temperatures, with a high near 68. Highs remain near 68 through Thursday, while overnight lows dip into the upper 40s to low 50s.
