Union City police are seeking information about the 2021 murder of Joaquin “Kenny” Tenorio, a 35-year-old father who was gunned down in front of his own home as he prepared to ride his motorcycle. Anyone who knows anything about the killing is asked to come forward.
KTVU reported that the homicide happened in 2021, outside Tenorio's home in Union City. KTVU described Tenorio as a devoted family man. Police have asked anyone with information about the killing to come forward.
At the time of the killing, KTVU reported that Tenorio was captured on his home's Ring camera about to climb onto his motorcycle around 8:30 p.m. that Friday when he was shot, and that the suspect then drove away from the scene. The station described him simply as “the victim is a 35-year-old father, who was gunned down in front of his home.”
Where the Shooting Happened
KTVU reported that Tenorio was shot outside his home on Queen Anne Drive. The killing left a wife and children without a husband and father.
Police have asked anyone with information about the killing to come forward.
Appeal for Information
Union City police have asked anyone with information to come forward.
Police departments in other cities have also turned to the public years into stalled homicide investigations. Investigators in Rancho Cucamonga recently said new leads had emerged in a 2023 killing but that they still needed the public's help identifying the suspect and the suspect's vehicle, according to KTLA. Police departments elsewhere, including in Gresham, Oregon, have similarly turned to the public years into a stalled homicide investigation, releasing new photos of a suspect vehicle in hopes of shaking loose a tip, as reported by KOIN.
Anyone with information about the killing is urged to come forward.
