The New Orleans Saints are getting a major upgrade to the digital pipes running through Caesars Superdome and other team facilities, under a new partnership announced Monday with Uniti Fiber. The deal is built to provide scalable, high-capacity fiber connectivity across the entire Saints organization, covering everything from business systems to gameday operations.
According to a news release from investor.uniti.com, the partnership is meant to support critical business operations, venue systems and connected experiences across the organization, including during periods of elevated demand. Uniti Fiber will help support connectivity across Caesars Superdome and other Saints facilities, the release states.
Saints Vice President of Information Technology Jody Barbier framed the arrangement as foundational to how the organization functions day to day. “Reliable, high-performance connectivity is essential to every part of our organization,” Barbier said, per the release. The company's regional vice president, Megan Meyer, echoed that the Saints need dependable connectivity every day, not only on gameday — underscoring that the fiber build-out is meant to serve far more than just Sundays in the fall.
What the Fiber Network Actually Carries
The infrastructure is designed to support the Saints' broader technology ecosystem, including point-of-sale activity and media workflows.
The relationship is also designed to strengthen operational resilience, improve continuity for critical systems and enable the connected experiences that fans, employees, partners and guests expect, the same report notes. Sports and entertainment venues increasingly depend on reliable, high-capacity networks.
A Louisiana-Rooted Investment
Meyer said the company is proud to bring its local fiber expertise and commitment to reliability to one of Louisiana's most iconic organizations, according to the release. The partnership builds on Uniti Fiber's existing investment in the state, where its high-capacity fiber network already supports businesses, healthcare organizations, government entities and other operations.
Uniti Fiber operates as a business unit of Uniti Group Inc. and delivers enterprise-grade fiber, ethernet, dark fiber, voice and unified communications, colocation and a suite of managed connectivity solutions. Per the release, the company's network reaches more than 375,000 business, state and local government and education locations across 35 markets in six Southeastern states.
The companies also pointed to shared community ties beyond the technical scope of the deal. The release notes that the Saints have long been leaders in supporting military members, veterans and their families throughout the Gulf South, framing the partnership as reflecting a broader, shared commitment to community service across the region.
As Biz New Orleans reported on the announcement, the arrangement gives the Saints added capacity and flexibility for evolving technology needs, strengthening the organization's network foundation at the Superdome.
