Downtown El Paso is getting a dose of unscripted comedy next year, as the touring show Whose Live Anyway? is on the schedule for the Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Center. The production brings together current cast members of the Emmy-nominated television show Whose Line Is It Anyway? for a night built entirely on whatever the crowd throws at them.
The El Paso stop is listed among upcoming events on El Paso Live's events page, as well as on the venue's own Plaza Theatre listing. According to a Ticketmaster listing, Whose Live Anyway? is scheduled for March 1, 2027, at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre. As KFOX reported, Whose Line Is It Anyway? cast members are bringing their live improv comedy to Downtown El Paso under the Whose Live Anyway? banner.
What to Expect Onstage
The show itself runs about 90 minutes and leans entirely on crowd participation, with the Englert Theatre's event description calling it “90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions.” That same description notes the production features current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
Musical direction for the tour comes from Laura Hall, according to the Englert Theatre's event page. The production mixes the improv games that made the original television show famous with newer bits, a format also described in a New Jersey event write-up noting it “showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show as well as some exciting new ones.”
You Might End Up in the Show
Part of the draw is the possibility that ticket holders won't just be watching from their seats. The Englert Theatre's listing warns attendees that “you might be asked to join the cast onstage,” turning a night out into a potential moment in the spotlight for whoever gets picked.
Exactly who will be performing in El Paso is not fully settled. One event description, from the Englert Theatre, lists the touring cast as Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray. A separate description tied to a New Jersey performance names a fifth performer, Gary Anthony Williams, alongside those four. It is not clear from available listings which lineup will actually take the Plaza Theatre stage.
What a Comparable Show Cost
El Paso ticket pricing has not been published in the listings reviewed so far. For comparison, State Theatre New Jersey scheduled its own Whose Live Anyway? performance for Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in New Brunswick, with tickets for that show ranging from $58 to $81, per the New Jersey venue's announcement.
With the Plaza Theatre date still months away, El Paso audiences will have time to find out more details before the curtain goes up. For now, the show stands as one more entry on a packed calendar for the historic Downtown venue, and one that comes with the added wildcard of possibly landing a local in the cast for the night.
