Akron is starting Thursday under mostly cloudy skies after a pre-dawn chance of light rain, but the day should turn partly sunny and reach the upper 50s to around 60 degrees. South-to-southwest winds will run 10 to 20 mph, giving the afternoon a noticeably breezy feel.
Friday’s Front Brings Rain And A Cooldown
The bigger shift arrives Friday, when rain is in the forecast and temperatures top out near 55 degrees. The latest National Weather Service forecast also calls for a chance of light rain Friday night. Friday night’s low is around 39.
That is a sharper turn from Akron’s recent run of unusually mild weather. The latest update follows Hoodline’s earlier forecast, which already included Thursday’s partly sunny forecast, Friday’s rain timing and temperatures, and Saturday’s shower chance and high.
Saturday Stays Cloudy Before Sunday’s Rebound
Saturday looks gray and cool, with scattered lake-effect rain showers possible through Saturday night and a high near 51 degrees. Blustery conditions are expected through Saturday night, with temperatures dipping to about 34.
Sunday brings the best outdoor window of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 56. The fair stretch continues Monday and Tuesday, when highs climb to around 58 and 63, followed by partly cloudy skies and a high in the mid-50s on Veterans Day.
Thursday Is Breezy, But No Major Alerts Are Posted
For Thursday plans, a light jacket should handle the morning, while a rain jacket will be more useful Friday and Saturday. No local watches or warnings are listed for Summit County in the current forecast, and rain and breezy conditions are expected Friday.
