America's Best has opened a flagship store near Avalon in Alpharetta, bringing clinical care and eyewear shopping together at one location. The company says the store’s design connects those parts of a customer visit; the location’s address and service details provide practical context for shoppers.
According to a PR Newswire release, the company says it unveiled the store this week at 2855 Old Milton Parkway, Suite 104, in Alpharetta. The press release lists the ZIP code as 30004, though America's Best's own location page for that address shows a different ZIP code, 30009 — a discrepancy that has not been resolved as of publication.
The company’s release says the store has no formal front check-in counter. Instead, customers enter an open area where staff can offer guidance.
A Lens Education Center and a Dedicated Finishing Area
According to the release, a Lens Education Center gives shoppers a place to compare lens options. The store also has an area where team members make final adjustments when eyewear is ready.
The new location keeps the same weekly schedule as other America's Best stores: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the release states. Mark Banner, identified in the release as president of America's Best, said the design process centered on the people who use the store rather than the store format itself. “We designed this store around people and the moments that matter most to patients and customers,” Banner said, per the release.
Part of a Much Larger National Footprint
The Alpharetta store is part of National Vision Holdings, Inc., the parent company of America's Best. The company says it operates more than 1,200 stores across 40 states and Puerto Rico, and its retail portfolio also includes Eyeglass World and Vista Optical, along with the DiscountContacts.com e-commerce site, according to the PR Newswire release.
Beyond the design choices highlighted in the release, America's Best's own location page for the Alpharetta address notes some practical details for shoppers. The page states that this location is an out-of-network provider for VSP insurance, meaning an associate will submit claims on a member's behalf rather than the location billing VSP directly. The same page also tells customers that most glasses are ready for pickup within 10 to 14 days, and that the store will call once an order is ready.
Avalon’s scale
For context on the nearby development, Avalon’s website describes it as an 86-acre community with more than 570,000 square feet of retail.
