The Aubrey Police Department's Facebook account had a post marked “3h” on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Investigators have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance beyond her last known location and the clothing she had on. The department is urging anyone who may have seen her or who has information about her whereabouts to come forward.
Texas law requires police receiving a missing-child report to start an investigation immediately and, within two hours, enter the child’s information into state and national databases and notify the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The required records include identifying details and a description of the clothing worn when the child was last seen, under Article 63.00905 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
How to Report Information
Anyone with information about Alice Jones's location is asked to call the Aubrey Police Department at 940-349-1600, extension 1.
A public social-media post and a formal emergency alert are separate tools. Texas’ statewide alert network includes several programs, each with its own eligibility criteria, and only law enforcement or another authorized entity can request activation. The state AMBER Alert program, for example, is designed for serious child-abduction cases and requires qualifying circumstances, including danger to the child and enough information to help the public locate the child, as Texas DPS outlines. The absence of an AMBER Alert alone does not establish the status of a local investigation.
About 17 months before the Aubrey Police Department Facebook post marked “3h” on November 1, 2026, the department resolved a separate missing-persons case involving another teenager. In that instance, officers had searched for a teen reported missing late the previous week and classified as a critical missing teen, before she was located safely, according to the department's Facebook page as reported by CBS News Texas.
The earlier Aubrey case involved 16-year-old Skylar Page Dennis, whom police described as a critical missing teen after she was last seen May 31, 2025. Aubrey police later ended the search after she was located safely, CBS Texas reported. The case is a local example of a missing-person search ending with a safe recovery; the information released about Dennis does not establish any connection to Jones’s disappearance.
Another Aubrey Missing-Person Case
As of this report, there is no confirmation of whether Jones has been found or whether the search remains active. The Aubrey Police Department has not released further updates beyond the initial request for information shared Sunday morning.
Residents in the Savannah subdivision and surrounding areas of Aubrey are encouraged to stay alert and reach out to police with any relevant tips, no matter how small they may seem.
