A 77-year-old man was shoved into a wall and robbed near the corner of President Street and Bond Street in Brooklyn, leaving him with a head injury as the suspect ran off with his wallet. The NYPD's Crime Stoppers unit is now asking the public for help identifying the attacker, who has not been caught.
According to Shore News Network, the robbery happened on October 23 at approximately 3:59 p.m. near the intersection in a residential section near Carroll Gardens and Gowanus. An unidentified man approached the victim from behind, pushed him against a wall and took his wallet, the outlet reported.
The force of the shove sent the 77-year-old to the ground, and he suffered an injury to his head in the fall, per the same account. The attacker then fled on foot, heading northbound on Bond Street before disappearing from the area.
No Arrest Announced, Key Details Still Unknown
As of the report, police had not announced an arrest or identified the man responsible for the attack. Authorities also had not disclosed whether the victim needed hospitalization or offered further detail on how serious his head injury was, the article noted.
NYPD Crime Stoppers issued a public alert seeking information about the robbery. The department is asking anyone with details to come forward, noting that all calls to the tip line are kept strictly confidential.

Part of a Wider Pattern of Street Robberies in Brooklyn
The attack adds to a string of recent robbery reports across Brooklyn neighborhoods. Just weeks earlier, Hoodline reported that a 67-year-old man was punched in the face and robbed of $120 inside a building on Atlantic Avenue, suffering minor injuries before his attacker fled on foot in an unknown direction.
That same report described at least a dozen robberies reported along Atlantic Avenue, Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street between October and November, though it cautioned there's no evidence tying that case to those other incidents.
