Bullhead City police say two people have already been arrested in a shoplifting case involving multiple suspects, but investigators are still trying to put names to the faces of others caught on surveillance video. The update, posted Thursday night, asks residents to take a look at the images and call in any tips.
According to a Bullhead City Police Department Facebook post, “Bullhead City Investigators are following up on a recent shoplifting incident involving multiple suspects.” The department says two people were arrested in connection with the case, while the individuals pictured in the post were captured on surveillance video and are described as the remaining suspects investigators are working to identify.
Police did not say when the underlying theft occurred, who the two arrested suspects are, or what was taken. Those details were not included in the department's update.
How to Help Investigators
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-9200, per the same Facebook post. Callers should reference case #26-32179 when they get in touch, according to the department.
The post adds that social media continues to be a valuable tool in helping identify suspects, a sentiment the department has leaned on before when pushing out surveillance images to the public.
Unclear Link to Separate Walmart Fraud Case
Separately, a report from Mohave Daily News says police asked for the public's help identifying a man and a woman suspected of committing fraud and shoplifting at a Bullhead City Walmart. That outlet reported that Bullhead City police provided still images from security video of the pair on a Monday. It is not established whether that case is the same incident referenced in Thursday's Facebook update.
Bullhead City police have turned to the public for help identifying shoplifting suspects before. In a case reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, a man and woman were accused of stealing nearly $3,000 worth of cologne and perfume during two separate shoplifting incidents at an Ulta Beauty store on December 28. In that instance, police released a surveillance photo of the pair and asked anyone with information to contact detectives at the same department phone number, referencing a different case number, 25-39197.
For now, the department has not released additional details on the identities of the two arrested suspects or the remaining individuals pictured in the latest case. Tips can still be directed to investigators using the case number and phone number provided in Thursday's post.
