Cincinnati police investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect connected to a criminal-damaging incident in the 600 block of Burns Street. Detectives say they do not yet know who is responsible and are relying on tips from anyone who recognizes the person involved.
The call for help came in a post from the Cincinnati Police Department
, which says District Four investigators are attempting to identify a suspect involved in a criminal damaging incident that occurred in the 600 block of Burns St. The department's post asks that anyone with information, or anyone able to identify the suspect, contact Detective Kneller.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Kneller.
What Investigators Are and Aren't Saying
Beyond the request for help identifying a suspect, the department's post and its attachment are thin on specifics. There is no date or time given for when the incident occurred, and the publication date of the police post should not be assumed to be the date the damage took place. The materials also do not describe the suspect, detail what was damaged, indicate whether anyone was hurt, or say whether the case has moved toward any resolution.
Residents with information can contact Detective Kneller.
A Separate Case Across Town
Cincinnati has seen at least one other criminal-damaging report in recent months. Hoodline previously reported on a separate case near the 1700 block of Elm Street, in which a different detective, Det. Bell, was listed as the point of contact. Nothing in the available evidence ties the Elm Street report to the Burns Street incident, and the two should be treated as unconnected unless police say otherwise.
For now, the Burns Street case remains open, with detectives hoping someone in the community can supply the missing piece — a name to match the suspect they're trying to identify.
