How Tips Are Submitted and Rewarded
East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers outlined several ways for the public to pass along information. Tips can be texted to 738477 using the keyword ETTIPS, submitted through the organization's P3 Tips mobile app, or filed online at easttnvalleycrimestoppers.org. The group also promises tipsters 100 percent anonymity, stating plainly that it does not want to know who tipsters are — only what they know, according to its own site.
The organization's website lists 877-363-8847 as its hotline.
Crime Stoppers says tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward. According to the organization's website, it has sole discretion to set the reward at any amount from zero to $2,000, so the maximum is not guaranteed.
Recent Knoxville crime data
Separate from Martin's allegation, the Knoxville Police Department's preliminary 2024 priority-crime report said the number of non-fatal shooting victims in Knoxville fell 45 percent, from 77 in 2023 to 42 in 2024.
The Crime Stoppers post does not resolve whether Martin's warrant remains active or what may happen next. The organization is asking the public to provide information.
