Carver Cafe, an 878-square-foot restaurant at 16471 Oregon 224 in Damascus, is listed for $895,000. Owner Kris Stafford says she plans to keep serving customers until the sale is complete.

The Register-Guard reported the listing before OregonLive.com did. It covers both the business and the building, according to the Premiere Property Group listing. Stafford took over the cafe with a former business partner in 2005. The building has operated as a Damascus staple since the 1950s. It has been on the market since April 2025, though interest has picked up in recent weeks, OregonLive reported.

A Twilight Cameo That Still Draws Fans

The cafe’s film connection began in 2008, when it served as a location for two scenes in the first “Twilight” movie. Stafford has kept Twilight memorabilia and movie images at the restaurant, and, according to OregonLive.com, has maintained guestbooks for visiting fans for nearly 20 years. The paper reported that Stafford said the cafe has been kept as it appeared in the movie.

The menu includes Twilight-themed items such as the Bella Burger, Alice's Cinnamon Swirl French Toast and Bella's Berry Cobbler, alongside standard breakfast and lunch fare. The cafe opens at 8 a.m., but published accounts differ on its weekly schedule: OregonLive.com reports Tuesday through Sunday, while The Register-Guard reports Wednesday through Sunday. Both accounts list hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For-Sale Sign Sparks a Rush of New Customers

The sale announcement has also brought more customers to the cafe. The Register-Guard reported that a social-media response to the for-sale sign helped draw an unusually large number of patrons. In the paper’s account, Stafford said she was ready to retire: “I'm just ready to retire. It's been 21 years,” she said.

OregonLive reported that the broker handling the sale had received serious interest from several buyers. Stafford also faced financial pressure in 2020, when she sought to raise $10,000 to keep the cafe operating. A GoFundMe campaign received more than $18,000 through 372 donations, according to OregonLive.

Other Twilight Landmarks Have Found New Life

A separate example of a Twilight-related property’s reuse is the former Swan family home in St. Helens. OregonLive.com reported that a couple bought the 1935 property in 2018 and turned it into an Airbnb rental. Carver Cafe’s listing, by contrast, includes both a working business and its building; what a future owner will do with them remains unknown.

Another Oregon film location turned visitor destination

Beyond Twilight sites, Astoria offers a different kind of film-related attraction: the Clatsop County Historical Society’s Oregon Film Museum is housed in the former county jail, which operated from 1914 through 1976 and served as a set for The Goonies, Short Circuit and Come See The Paradise. Unlike Carver Cafe, the museum occupies a former public facility rather than a working diner being offered for sale.

For now, Stafford says the cafe will remain open while it awaits a buyer. The listing puts both the restaurant business and the property on the market, leaving its next owner to decide what comes next.
