EchoPark Automotive plans to open its first Orlando location in December, making Central Florida the pre-owned vehicle retailer's 15th market nationwide. The announcement comes from parent company Sonic Automotive, which has not yet released a street address, store size, or exact opening date for the new location.
Sonic Automotive, which owns EchoPark Automotive as a subsidiary, confirmed the expansion plans, according to Sonic Automotive investor relations. The company states that EchoPark will enter Orlando this December, its 15th market, and currently serves Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Nashville, Phoenix, Raleigh, Sacramento, San Antonio and St. Louis. EchoPark operates multiple stores in some of those cities, including Denver, Houston and San Antonio, as first reported by WhatNow.
EchoPark specializes in selling pre-owned vehicles and centers its business model on used-car quality, value and customer service. The company's inventory includes more than 5,000 vehicles, per the same investor relations announcement, and shoppers can use the brand's mobile app and its Car Spotter feature, which lets users photograph a vehicle on the road and find similar options within that inventory. The app also includes a service locator that connects owners with nearby Sonic Automotive-owned dealerships for maintenance.
What Orlando Shoppers Should Know Before Visiting
Would-be Orlando customers should note a wrinkle already visible on EchoPark's website: the company lists an Orlando Buy Center at Massey Cadillac, according to EchoPark's own site. But that location is strictly for appraisals and purchases of customers' existing vehicles — not for test-driving or buying an EchoPark vehicle, the company says, noting directly that shoppers will not find their next ride at that store and should instead visit an EchoPark Experience Center to test drive and buy.
Once the new Orlando location does open, EchoPark says it will offer a wide selection of trucks, SUVs, sedans and electric vehicles, according to the company's dealership listings. Sonic Automotive's announcement does not specify where exactly in the Orlando area that Experience Center will be located or precisely when its doors will open.
Sales Momentum and a New Celebrity Ad Push
The Orlando expansion arrives as EchoPark posts strong recent financial numbers. Retail used-vehicle unit sales volume rose 22% year over year to 19,923 in the third quarter of 2026, and the brand reported third-quarter revenue of $596.0 million, up 14% year over year, with gross profit of $58.9 million, up 8%, per Sonic Automotive investor relations.
The growth comes alongside a smaller physical footprint than EchoPark once had. The brand's network shrank from 52 locations across 21 states at the end of 2022 to 18 locations in 10 states by the end of 2025, according to WardsAuto. The outlet also reports that Sonic plans to open two to four additional EchoPark locations in 2027, suggesting Orlando is part of a broader, if measured, rebuilding push rather than a one-off market entry.
EchoPark is also leaning into brand visibility well beyond Central Florida. A new advertising campaign featuring actor Owen Wilson was scheduled to launch Nov. 8 during Sunday NFL broadcasts in EchoPark markets, per the same investor relations release — timing that puts the company's largest marketing push right alongside news of its newest market.
EchoPark's push into new cities isn't unprecedented for the company. Automotive News has previously reported on Sonic Automotive's plans to open additional EchoPark used-car stores, with more openings to come, underscoring that Orlando's addition fits a pattern of gradual, store-by-store growth for the brand rather than a single isolated bet.
