Ferguson police have issued an Endangered Person Advisory for 23-year-old Ahna’h J. Fortson, who has been missing for roughly two months with no activity on her cell phone and an unoccupied vehicle later found associated with her case. Fortson, who resides in Ferguson, is described as a Black woman standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
According to KMOV, Fortson was last heard from on September 3, 2026, the same date she last contacted her family. She was officially reported missing on November 3, 2026, and police have associated her with an unoccupied car found that same day. Fox 2 reported a different timeline, saying police told the station Fortson was last heard from on Sept. 6 and that her vehicle was located unoccupied on Nov. 6. The two outlets' accounts of the dates do not line up, and it is not clear from the available reporting whether both are describing the same vehicle or the same last contact.
No Activity on Her Phone, Police Say
Police said there has been no activity on Fortson's cell phone, according to fox2now.com. Investigators also said Fortson suffers from mental health issues; the station's report cited those issues as part of the reason for the advisory.
The Endangered Person Advisory, issued Friday, is meant to prompt the public to share any information that could help locate her. Police have offered a physical description — 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 130 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a light complexion — to help the public identify her if spotted.
How to Report a Sighting
Anyone with information or who sees Fortson is asked to contact 911, their nearest law enforcement agency, or the Ferguson Police Department directly at 314-522-3100, per the same account from Fox 2. It remains unclear whether Fortson has since been located or whether the advisory is still active, as no follow-up information has been reported.
