Oklahoma City is starting Sunday under fog. The gray morning will give way to a warm but mostly cloudy afternoon, with a high near 74.
Patchy fog should thin by about 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. South winds are expected Sunday night as temperatures dip only to around 62 degrees.
Monday Brings A Serious Storm Threat
Monday will be unusually warm for early November, with a high near 77 and south winds gusting up to 36 mph. Showers and thunderstorms could begin in the morning, but the storm threat is expected to build during the afternoon and evening.
Some storms could become severe, with large hail, damaging wind gusts and tornadoes among the concerns. Storms are likely to continue into Monday night before gradually moving away, while winds shift west-northwest and could gust as high as 33 mph.
Cooler, Calmer Weather Follows
Tuesday brings a noticeable reset, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 68 as cooler, drier air settles in. Wednesday through Friday look quieter, though clouds may increase and showers are possible Thursday, with afternoon highs in the upper 60s and overnight lows near 52, 52 and 50 degrees, respectively.
For Sunday, drivers should allow extra time during the foggy morning and use low beams if visibility remains limited. Monday plans may need flexibility, and residents should keep an eye on updated forecasts and severe-weather alerts as storms develop.
