Oklahoma City is waking up Saturday to dense fog, chilly temperatures and sharply reduced visibility before the weather turns noticeably friendlier by afternoon. The fog should thin by midmorning, making way for a partly sunny day with a high near 58 degrees and almost no wind.

A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for Oklahoma County until 10 a.m. Saturday, with visibility at times falling to about a quarter-mile. The National Weather Service advises drivers to slow down, use headlights and leave extra distance between vehicles.

Fog Lifts Before A 58-Degree Afternoon

Saturday morning temperatures will start near 40 degrees, with patchy fog expected before 9 a.m. Winds will stay light from the north and northeast, and the chance of rain is effectively zero.

Fog may return after midnight Saturday, with a low around 41. Sunday morning could also begin foggy before skies turn sunny and temperatures climb to about 68 degrees.

Sunny Warm-Up Arrives Next Week

The warm-up continues Monday and Tuesday, when Oklahoma City is forecast to reach 69 and 73 degrees, respectively, under mostly sunny skies. Veterans Day should remain sunny with a high near 71, giving outdoor plans a long stretch of mild, dry weather.

Temperatures ease back into the 60s Thursday and Friday, but rain still is not a significant concern in the current forecast. For now, the main weather nuisance is the morning fog — followed by a surprisingly pleasant run of November afternoons.
