Friday Drizzle Gives Way To Frost
Patchy drizzle may linger through late afternoon as mostly cloudy skies hold over the city, according to the National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill. North winds should remain light at around 6 mph, making for a damp, chilly finish to the workweek.
A Frost Advisory is in effect from midnight Friday through 8 a.m. Saturday, with some locations potentially falling as low as 32 degrees. The forecast point in Kansas City is expected to reach about 37, but residents with tender plants should bring in containers or cover sensitive vegetation.
The advisory is a notable update from Thursday's outlook, which called for a chilly Friday night but did not list an active frost advisory for Kansas City. Hoodline's earlier forecast had also placed the overnight low near 37 degrees.
