Garth Brooks is bringing his Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour back to Minneapolis, announcing two shows at Target Center on Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12. Tickets go on sale next Friday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. CT, and every seat in the building — end-stage or in-the-round — will cost the same price.

The country superstar made the announcement through a post on his website, confirming the Twin Cities dates will close out his 2026 touring schedule. As reported by garthbrooks.com, tickets will run $155 apiece before local taxes, broken down as a $140 ticket price, a $5 venue fee and a $10 service fee. That flat pricing structure covers all seating configurations, including both the traditional end-stage setup and the in-the-round arrangement the tour has used elsewhere. The official announcement says fans can buy tickets through AXS.com once the window opens.

Brooks has not been shy about his affection for the Twin Cities. “I have no idea why they have taken me in the way they have, but it has been this way since the very beginning,” he said in the announcement. That bond dates back decades — in October 1998, Brooks recognized and celebrated the 5 millionth ticket buyer of his entire world tour in Minneapolis, a milestone the singer's own site still points to as evidence of the city's outsized role in his career.

A Target Center Track Record Few Acts Can Match

The December shows add to what is already an extraordinary history between Brooks and the downtown Minneapolis arena. By the close of his November 2014 run, Target Center had hosted 23 Garth Brooks concerts across stints in 1994, 1998 and 2014, selling more than 430,000 tickets combined, according to a release from Minneapolis.org. That same release described the 2014 run as a North American record for the most Garth Brooks tickets ever sold in a single city.

The numbers behind individual runs tell their own story. The 2014 stand — Brooks' first Minneapolis shows in 16 years — stretched across 11 concerts and unofficially sold more than 205,000 tickets, a record for both Brooks and the arena for one engagement, per the Star Tribune. Opening night alone drew a crowd of 19,000, as the Twin Cities outlet reported at the time. Back in 1998, Brooks sold a then-record 162,833 tickets across nine Target Center shows, the Star Tribune noted, while tickets for the entire 2014 run cost $70.50 each with fees included — less than half of what fans will pay for the new December dates.

What's New This Time Around

This tour brings a different visual spectacle than Brooks' earlier Target Center runs. The 360-degree stage is ringed by towering LED screens the production calls “the halo,” a design element highlighted in the artist's own announcement. So far, Brooks has played or announced more than 40 shows on the Blame It All On My Roots Tour, according to B105 Country, and the station notes that Brooks has a history of tacking on extra dates once tickets go on sale “due to popular demand.”

For now, the December Target Center shows mark the scheduled finale of Brooks' 2026 tour calendar. Given his decades-long pull in the Twin Cities — and a track record of filling the arena more often than any other musician — fans eyeing the Nov. 13 on-sale may not want to wait long once the clock hits 10 a.m.
